Trading Internship

Our 9 week Summer Trading Internship is designed for penultimate-year students eager to explore the trading industry, regardless of previous experience. You’ll gain valuable industry experience, sharpen your analytical skills, and discover what makes our company unique. Guided by experienced traders, you’ll develop a strong foundation in trading and financial markets.

The Program

– Learn about financial markets, pricing theory, trading products and strategies from experienced traders and a dedicated trainer.

– Gain hands-on experience through desk shadowing and trading simulations.

– Work on practical projects and present your findings to our trading team.

– Receive regular feedback and guidance from a buddy or mentor.

– Get involved in social events, volunteering and opportunities to connect with the wider team.

Our goal is to bring great talent to VivCourt. All interns will have the opportunity to be considered for our graduate program the following year.

What do
we look for?

Many traders at VivCourt come from STEM backgrounds, including mathematics, statistics, engineering and computer science. However, we value diverse perspectives and welcome candidates from all academic backgrounds who demonstrate strong quantitative reasoning and a willingness to learn. No prior knowledge of finance or financial markets is required.

Technical Skills

Probability & Statistics

Strong understanding of probability, statistics and mathematical concepts, with the ability to apply them to solve quantitative problems and reason about uncertainty.

Numerical & Logical Reasoning

Strong mental arithmetic, numerical reasoning and pattern recognition skills. Ability to think logically, solve unfamiliar problems and work through quantitative challenges efficiently.

Programming & Data Analysis

Ability to analyse and interpret data, identify patterns and draw meaningful conclusions. Prior programming experience (e.g. Python, R or MATLAB) is advantageous but not essential. What matters most is a willingness to learn and develop your programming skills.
